This or That


I am bored and this survey was on one of the healthy living blogs I like to follow, Peanut Butter Fingers.  (She is a little cutie pie who shares her healthy recipes and workout plans to try and inspire the lazy such as myself) Here is my weak attempt at filling in a healthy living based survey…

 
This or That?

  • Run or Work Out in the Heat and Humidity or the Freezing Cold?

Workout in the cold, I hate heat for anything other then swimming.

  • Have Washboard Abs or Flat Abs?

I can just now see my toes when I look down which is an accomplishment in and of itself.  Either one of these would be awesome.

  • Dr. Oz or The Doctors?

I don’t watch either

  • Cardio or Strength Workouts?

I prefer strength, but I have been doing circuit training that includes both as anything I read states this is the most effective manor to shed weight and tone.

  • Cravings: Protein or Carbs?

. Carbs.  Chocolate and potato chips

  • Jillian Michaels or Bob Harper?

Jillian Michaels.  To be fair I don’t know who Bob Harper is but I have Jillian’s 30-Day Shred and I love her and her motivational sarcasm.  Plus, she seems well informed, the workouts seem to contain everything I read about from legitimate and knowledgeable sources.

  • Frozen Yogurt or Ice Cream?

Ice Cream!

  • Strength Training Upper Body or Lower Body?

So far, both, I gotta work the whole thing.

  • Protein Powder or Food with Protein?

I prefer the food, but the powder is not bad, more specifically the French Vanilla shakes.

  • Lunges or Squats?

Ugh.. I hate them both

  • Sweet or Salty?

Give me a Regular bag of Ruffles a Dairy Milk Chocolate bar and I am a happy, happy girl.

  • Workout Attire: Cute or Comfy?

Comfy i.e. PRACTICAL.  It has to cover all rolls and butt cracks, no one wants to see that.

  • Body Pump or Heavy Lifting?

I don’t know what Body Pump is...

  • Yoga or Pilates?

I have never done Pilates so I guess Yoga.  I suck at balance and strength stuff, but I enjoy the way my body feels after a good Yoga stretching regime.

  • Nike or Adidas?

Neither, I wear Sketchers, they like my feet and my lack of arches (I inherited this, it's not a result of my weight).

  • Running: Treadmill or Outdoors?

In the past, I never ran, EVER.  I have just started running, and by running I mean a slow jog (Probably more like a fast walk) for 60 second intervals.  Both treadmill and outdoors.  I like outdoors as I feel like I am going to fly off the back of the treadmill, indoors I like the privacy and the safety of not getting hit by a car...

  • Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s?

I am assuming this is American as I don’t know either of these two places.

  • Summer or Winter Olympics?

Winter for hockey and Summer for gymnastics; LOVE them both, it’s a tie really.

  • Exercise Classes or Exercise Videos?

I am torn: I love the 30-Day Shred DVD but I really like Zumba and Aquafit classes.  So both.

  • Steamed veggies or roasted veggies?

Roasted
