I am finally down 30 pounds! It took me 14 months, but it’s gone! (If you recall it has taken me more then two months to get rid of these last five pounds, bah!) This may be the world’s slowest weight loss but as all of the Pinterest “sayings” say “I have no intention of finding it again!” I still have a ways to go, but I am on my way! Apparently slow and steady! (Sure I might have lost quicker if I hadn't indulged as much, but hey, life is short, I am not missing out on yummy food!)
I feel like my weight loss journey is more successful during the fall, versus any other time of the year. Last fall I lost 18 pounds. With Thanksgiving and my sister’s birthday aside, I feel like it’s easier to control what I am eating without going crazy, there aren’t as many temptations and we aren’t as busy so it’s easier to commit to a workout regiment. Summer time there are a ton of birthdays and barbeques, winter is lethargic and also there is the Christmas break which is 2 weeks of non stop eating. Spring in theory I should have done better but this past Spring I just lost inches instead of pounds. I was eating well-ish but not reducing my calories enough but was working out.
30 Pounds = 3 bags of potatoes!
I took this picture a few weeks back as motivation, now I can use it to say I did it! |
It’s funny as I don’t recall feeling like I was carrying 3 bags of potatoes at the time, but it’s an interesting way to put it in perspective of how much actually came off. I am feeling pretty good :)
Congratulations, that's awesome! I am 2 lbs away from hitting the 30 lb mark and I can't believe it. That picture of the potatoes puts it into perspective. Did we really carry all that weight on our bodies every day?
ReplyDeleteThank you! And congrats to you too! :)
ReplyDeleteI know, I can't believe it, 3 bags of potatoes are tricky to pick up and that was plastered on somewhere!
