Work Parties

This December we went to my work Christmas party, now I know this may not be available to everyone, Christmas parties or just Employee appreciation parties in general, but if you have access to the party you should really consider going!  We were lucky and my bosses put on the party free of charge to the employees and significant others.  Take advantage of these nights!  It makes for a nice date night (and free!) and allows for you to mingle with co-workers, network and enjoy a night out on your employer.  A work party is a nice way for the employer to say thank you to their employees.  I feel if you work hard, you deserve the meal your employer puts on for you, so don’t sit at home all anti-social!  We were also quite fortunate that there were a lot of door prizes and fun little games.  My Hubby participated in some games and won me a spa treatment!  I won a door prize of a wine gift pack!  Not bad for a free party!  (Any party you may go to, showers, stag and does etc. participate in the games!  You may walk away with a fun prize sometimes for doing something as simple as playing pin the tail on the donkey!)

Edit: Last night I won a Starbucks gift card at our Hockey league for submitting a suggestion!  It pays to participate in fun games and stuff sometimes!
