Fort George and the War of 1812 Bicentennial

If you are a history buff you will enjoy the upcoming events in the Region for the War of 1812 Bicentennial.  Fort George and Old Fort Erie are hosting a pile of events, check out their respective sites:

The children will enjoy this as will people of all ages!  It’s fun AND educational!  Nominal fees apply.

Check out Fort George anytime, not just during bi-centennial celebrations!  It’s a fun and educational look at life during the 1800s and during a war.  Many historical artifacts and buildings to peruse, with volunteers dressed in period costume to give life to the Fort!

Make a historical day and hit up the NOTL Museum and McFarland House!

For those who like a spooky event to attend near Hallowe’en, Fort George hosts Ghost Tours!  Check out their site for more details.  I have yet to go on the tour, but have always wanted to!
